I took a look at the Nortiv 8 Mountaineer-1 M boots, and they certainly seem built for serious winter conditions. The 3M Thinsulate insulation is a huge plus for warmth, and combined with the waterproof rubber upper, they're clearly designed to keep your feet dry and warm in snow. The heavy-duty rubber outsole with deep tread looks like it would provide excellent grip on icy or slippery surfaces. The mid-calf shaft style offers good coverage.
