I was intrigued by the "Crossover Hiker" name, and these boots definitely deliver on the crossover aspect. The leather upper and lining feel premium and comfortable right out of the box. However, despite "Hiker" in the name, these are clearly more about style and comfort for urban or light outdoor use, not serious trail hiking. The synthetic insole, while comfortable, might not offer the same long-term support as a more rugged hiking boot, and the rubber outsole seems geared more for general traction than aggressive trail grip.
